FAQ

The books are aimed at 2-6 year olds.

Let’s talk to Mummy’s tummy is designed to be read, week by week, as the pregnancy progresses. Younger children really connect with the illustrations of the growing baby and quickly make the connection that the baby, in Mummy’s tummy, is growing and developing also. The baby in the book talks directly to the child who is having the book read to them, creating a bond and connection before baby is born. Older children, love the educational aspect. Finding out more about how baby receives food, When the baby grows eyebrows, What baby can hear etc. The questions asked really instigate useful conversations. After each week has been read the child can then reinforce and process the information by carrying out the tasks, colouring and finding the appropriate stickers in the Activity book.

Let’s talk about your new baby brother or sister is a perfect present to give when baby is born. It covers the new baby’s developmental milestones for the next 24 months. Visually, it helps the child see siblings growing up with a new baby and what to expect, month by month. Preparing the child in this way really helps alleviate any worries or uncertainties the child might have in a child friendly manner.

Once you click on the personalised section it takes you to a form to fill out. Child/rens name/s and personal message from you. Also, the month and year baby is due. I also write a short message and sign. Book/s are then gift-wrapped with the Childs name on the front. This really helps to make this a very special keepsake book.

I get asked this question a lot. I don’t have as yet but what I do advice is for you to put your name over ‘Mummy’ on the front cover. Eg: Let’s talk to Gemma’s tummy. Then when it says ‘Mummy; in the book replace with your name. All the illustrations and facts on the growing baby are the same. I’ve had loads of families do this and it works brilliantly.

Yes! I worked really hard along side my Illustrator; Cara Moreno, to include a wide range of inclusion and diversity in the illustrations. It was my aim that every child, who was having the book read to them would recognise themselves and their family set up. The books have been widely praised for this reason.
